The threat picture

An isolated installation or island may have limited warning and a long wait for assistance. The design starts with the approaches, people at risk and realistic response time. Earlier detection and protected spaces should support a clear plan for the period before help arrives.

Where gaps appear

A few cameras and an assumed response time do not establish how an isolated asset would manage an approach. The assessment tests the coverage, communication and protection available to the people on site.

The problem

An offshore operator relied on patrol vessels and disconnected sensors to monitor its waters. The assessment examined gaps in awareness and the existing response arrangements.

The design

We designed a layered architecture combining maritime radar, platform surveillance and access control within one command environment.

The outcome

The deliverable was a costed, phased implementation roadmap. It set out how coverage could be extended and reliance on patrol vessels reduced as stages were commissioned. These were planned improvements, not reported operating results.
